Girl Friday fashion editorial created at the Shooting Fashion Editorials workshop.
We are excited to share the results from our workshop hosted last month in the amazing space of “Nomads & Co”, in which we explored the theme Girl Friday.
Originally inspired by the space itself, the theme was built around the office environment and props. I wanted to create a clean look to emphasize the mood of the space, and worked with long exposures to include the ambient lighting of the venue mixed with studio flash.
The colour palette included some examples of colour blocking, which was pulled through into the make-up and styling as well. MUAH Sarah at Swoon created traditional 1950’s up-styles with a contemporary twist in the colourful make-up to finish up the looks. Our stylist, Samantha at Rosemary Vintage, played with various colour combinations mixed with florals to add to the season, coupled with the various foliage displays on location to add to that Spring feeling. The models outfits were complimented with crafty wooden accessories from Wooden Lace, adding to the raw beauty of the space and natural elements. Funky eye-wear options from Jeep and Soviet in various colours completed the office look.
From the feedback provided by our 15 attendees our Girl Friday fashion editorial workshop was a great success, and we look forward to hosting more of these in the future!
